I am enamored with Black Birds. I love nothing more than creating my encaustic pieces featuring Ravens, Crows and the occasional Grackle. Comorants and Red Wing Blackbirds will be showing up in the very near future! I recently finished a few studies of Ravens, exploring a technique of heavy carving and subtle shadings with oil pigments on encaustic surface. So fun.
